The Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization committed to driving economic growth within minority communities. The MMSDC advances this mission by facilitating over $36 billion annually in economic output each year. Founded in 1977, the MMSDC certifies minority businesses, develops their capacity, and facilitates inclusive procurement opportunities.

MMSDC serves its corporate members by enabling them to retain strong, innovative, and efficient suppliers to fill the needs of their supply chain. In addition, MMSDC enables minority owned businesses to grow their operations, hire more employees, and create wealth in their respective communities.

About Jacqui Showers
Jacqui Showers’ seamless energy and optimism is contagious. She enjoys motivating, mentoring, and inspiring others to achieve their highest potential. She is a Business Certification Consultant at MMSDC in providing services and support to its corporate members and MBEs. Jacqui assists MBEs through the certification process of their applications. She is a certified coach with substantial years in marketing communications, non-profit management, and leadership.

Fluresh is a Michigan cannabis cultivation, processing, and retail operator with over 200 employees and a progressive social equity platform, Flureshing Together, that focuses on diversity and inclusion for underrepresented communities in the Michigan cannabis industry.
