Social Equity & Education Committee

The June meeting of the Guild's Social Equity & Education Committee (SEEC). Join chair Jessica Austin as the workgroup considers important developments in social equity in and around the industry, and how decision makers can better achieve their equity goals without hurting industry operators.

This quarter, we're focusing on ways the City of Grand Rapids can better support social equity goals in its ordinances and policies... including the new City-formed nonprofit Seeding Justice Grand Rapids.

The City won't let anyone working in or with the cannabis industry join the board of this nonprofit... here's a recent article about it, and here's an application to join its Board. We need people with an understanding of the industry to be represented!
