Stoners In Suits (Q2): Small & Local Vendors and Cannabis Licensees

A thought-provoking discussion & networking series from the Guild, new in 2023! Stoners In Suits focuses on start-up, independent, and small (typ. single-site) cannabis businesses and their unique challenges. This event is a great opportunity to network with others in and getting into the industry.

• Q1 Focus (March): Cannabis Tourism Opportunities & Challenges
• Q2 Focus (May): Small & Local Vendors and Cannabis Licensees
• Q3 Focus (August): Cannabis Microbusinesses & Micro-Grows
• Q4 Focus (November): Economic Development for Small Federally Illegal Companies

Each event is a happy-hour style reception followed by a program at 5:30 pm.

For our Q2 event, we will focus on vendors for cannabis companies. Many cannabis companies have made significant commitments to contract with small, local (MLBE), minority-owned (MBE), and/or women-owned (WBE) businesses, but run into obstacles along the way. This SiS session will focus on these programs, and methods for finding and working with certified companies.
