Brew Buds 2023 Terp Matching Day

Beer, meet weed. Weed, meet beer.

Cannabis terpenes are the compounds that give the plant its characteristic aromas & flavors. Many of these complex chemicals are similar to those found in hops, which are in the same biological family as cannabis (cannabaceae).

Terpenes differ from cannabinoids, which are natural compounds received in the body in different ways, in some cases psychoactive. Examples of cannabinoids include CBD, CBN, CBG, CBV, THC, THCa, THCV, and many others.

The Brew Buds promotion is an opportunity for West Michigan makers of beer, wine, spirits, kombucha, and other beverages to incorporate the terpenes from local cannabis producers and processors into their products.

We will meet in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023 for a speed-dating style introduction session (starting 6:30 pm), with open networking before and after. Processors will bring samples of terpenes.
