If recent history has been any indication, public participation in politics is not only necessary, but vital to how we shape and grow our communities. We have begun compiling a number of public resources for our members to utilize and share.
Use the search function at the Michigan Senate website to enter your address and find your State Senator.
Use the website search box at Michigan House of Representatives to enter your home/business address and find out what district you reside in and who your district representatives are. The list view Michigan House of Representatives - Full List displays contact information and websites for the Representatives as well as the district they serve. We recommend visiting their websites, studying their stances, and supporting candidates who align with our shared values.
County Board Commissioners:
Use the SOS - Candidate Listings and Election Results by County website to select your resident county and learn more about your county representatives, their meeting schedules and agendas. Use the WMCG Advocacy Toolkit to assist you during the Public Comment portion of Board Meetings. We highly encourage becoming familiar with your county website, and that you bookmark/favorite it to allow for quick access.
Use SOM - Alpha Listing of City, Village & Township Web Sites or a search engine to locate your resident municipality website. While you may be aware of your municipality's stance on the MRTMA, use the lists provided on MRA - Adult-Use Establishments to review the current opt-in status and limits on businesses allowed within your municipality.
We are continually following the changing landscape of this industry and the regulations that govern it to provide a reliable source for important information. We welcome and encourage all to join one of our committees and make your voice heard!
